Bill Green was elected to the South Coast Water District board in 2014 as Director and is now serving in his third term. Bill also serves on the CalDesal Executive Committee. Bill was previously appointed by Governor Schwarzenegger to the San Diego Regional Water Quality Control Board in 2010 and the Riverside County Board of Supervisors appointed him to the Riverside County Flood Control and Water Conservation Commission in 2012.
Mr. Green is a native Southern Californian, a resident of Dana Point, and his wife Sally, and their two children, Hilary, and Sean, were involved in avocado farming from 1981 to2014 in Temecula, CA and has been a water conservation advocate.
Mr. Green is a Licensed Land Surveyor in California and Arizona, a Retired Principal Partner and Senior Vice President-Regional Manager of RBF Consulting, a company of the Michael Baker International Corporation (MBI). MBI is a multi-discipline engineering, planning and surveying firm with over five thousand employee staff.
Bill is an Eagle Scoutand Veteran of the Air National Guard/USAF and well as being involved in hiscommunity, such as the Boy Scout of America 1989-2014 as Scoutmaster and on theCouncil Executive Committee; Manager of the San Diego Youth Ice Hockey Club; a Member of Building Industry Association (BIA); served the American Council ofEngineering Companies (ACEC) as California State President 2008-2009 &National Director 2011-2013; Chairman of the Salton Sea StakeholdersSymposium-2010. In 2012 he was presented the National Community Service Awardfrom American Council of Engineering Companies.
Bill is a community leader and currently is leading and collaborating with regional agencies to partner on the South Coast Water District Ocean Water Desalination Project in Dan Point, CA.
